On behalf of myself and the dedicated men and women of the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff's Office, we welcome you to our new internet site.
What is a Sheriff?
The Sheriff is the principal law enforcement officer in the county where the individual is elected. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, traffic enforcement, courtroom security, warrant execution, inmate housing. Also we are the only third class county in the state of Missouri that has taken on animal control.
2011, marks my 10th year as your Sheriff of Ste. Genevieve County. It is a great honor and a privilege to serve our citizens. The Sheriff's Office is committed to enforcing the laws of the state of Missouri with integrity, fairness, and courtesy, and I personally pledge to you that we will treat all citizens with the respect and civility that they deserve.
It is our pleasure to provide the citizens of Ste. Genevieve County with a progressive and innovative approach to law enforcement. Every day, the dedicated men and women of the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff's Office endeavor to provide to you a service worthy of your respect and a reflection of our integrity.
After 10 years, the Sheriff's Office has developed into a professional, state of the art, agency and facility. I invite any citizen who wishes to see our facility to contact me for a personal tour to see the daily operations and working of our detention center and Sheriff's office.
Community support is a large part of our agency and I wish to thank you for the years of support that you have given to us. Always remember, without your support and cooperation, the Sheriff's Office would have a tougher job. We truly appreciate the information we receive from the public on narcotic information, suspicious activity or whatever it may be.
It is the wish of the men and women of the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff's office, as well as myself, for you and your family to have a great new year in 2011 and I look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
