Arrested Person: Melanie Dawn Messmer of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, W/F, DOB: 06-24-1977, was arrested on a warrant out of Phelps County for receiving stolen property.

The warrant had no bond set.

Arrested Person: Matthew Robert Hopple of Bloomsdale, Missouri, W/M, DOB: 05-24-1990, was arrested on warrants out of DeSoto P.D. for dangerous drugs and traffic offenses.

The warrant had a total bond set at $1,853.00.

Arrested Person: Jennifer Renee Vantroba of Desloge, Missouri, W/F, DOB: 04-01-1975, was arrested on a warrant out of Cape Girardeau County for failing to appear on the original charge passing bad checks.

The warrant had a bond set at $250.00.

Arrested Person: Daniel Christopher Smith of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, W/M, DOB: 12-22-1987, was arrested on warrants out of Ste. Genevieve County and Warrenton P.D. for probation violation and traffic offense.

The warrants had a total bond set at $25,416.00.

Arrested Person: Melissa Leona Thorton of Fisk, Missouri, W/M, DOB: 04-01-1981, was arrested on a warrant out Butler County for no insurance.

The warrant had a bond set at $2,000.00.

Arrested Person: Heather Jean Rusan of French Village, Missouri, W/F, DOB: 10-22-1980, was arrested on a warrant out of St. Mary P.D. for failing to appear on a municipal ordinance violation.

The warrant was issued with a bond set at $270.00.

Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office.  Except for arrests this report does not reflect actions initiated by our personnel, rather calls for service only.  Also, a criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law. Some cases are currently under investigation; any citizen with additional information is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office with any information you may have.  Again, each and every suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
